My Trip to Kensington Market!

Even though I’ve been at Ryerson for almost a year and a half, I haven’t really visited some of the more popular downtown sites; one being Kensington Market (an approx. 10 minute streetcar ride from Yonge and Dundas).  I’m also obsessed with grilled cheese.  So naturally, when I found that a gourmet grilled cheese shop was located at the Market, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for my friend any I to enjoy one of our favourite meals in a beautiful area of T.O.  Here are some photos from my cute trip!

Upon arrival, we fell in love with the peaceful area, local shops, fresh produce locations, and the amount of people riding bikes!

The weather was so nice for a trip to Kensington!

Fresh produce with the addition of…

We were so excited to finally try a sandwich from The Grilled Cheese, and they did NOT disappoint!  This place was featured on You Gotta Eat Here on the Food Network so you just know they have delicious food.

The tomato soup was also on point.

Later on, we did some more exploring, which included going to vintage stores, observing local bars, and then stopping by a cafe called MoonBean, for brownie cheesecake and the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life!!!!

My trip to Kensington Market was great, so if you haven’t visited–and even if you have–be sure to dedicate an afternoon to see what this wonderful neighbourhood has to offer (perhaps when you come to Ryerson next year?)!!!

What are your favourite areas of Toronto?
