You’ve probably heard about the brand new Student Learning Centre, from its innovative design to the colourful study spaces, and of course it’s been extremely popular among Ryerson students since the grand opening. Every floor is basically packed to capacity during the afternoon, and it can be a challenge to get to where you need to go quickly. The other day I was huddled around the elevator with a dozen other students when I was reminded of a concept: STAIRS EXIST. There’s even a nice little reminder beside the elevators!
I usually try to stay away from large amounts of stairs because, you know, I love myself, but that day I was feeling adventurous/super eager to sit down and eat my bagel so I went for it.
If you’re like me and never take the time to exercise, walking up the stairs every once in a while is actually a really good idea. (Especially after I realized how out of shape I am. Seriously, it’s bad!)
And in my attempt to get a months worth of exercise, I came across some much needed motivation! Here’s why you should choose the stairs!
I just love the fact that people took the time to do this. Thanks, SLC and Ryerson! Love you guys forever.
If you want to know more about the beauty of the SLC, check out my post where I review every floor!
Until next time!
