Ah. Toronto in the Summer. Parkas are finally put away, sun is shining and flowers are blooming. I decided to spend this lovely summer living and working Downtown and every month, I’m going to give you an insight on some of my Summer Toronto Experiences!
This past month was a super exciting one for me. Moving into my new summer place, starting a new job, meeting new friends and FINALLY enjoying the warm weather! This month was busy, but I still managed to explore a few places in my travels:
1. Distillery District
Probably one of my favourite adventures so far was visiting The Distillery District! I loved the food, the atmosphere and the heritage that this area had to display! I went to The Distillery District for the afternoon and I ended the lovely day with dinner at the amazing Mill Street Brewhouse! Definitely a must-visit!
2. Ripley’s Aquarium
I’ve been meaning to check out the aquarium for some time so I finally caved this past month and went, and can I say that it was AMAZING. The variety of sea-creatures and tanks that they have at the aquarium is phenomenal! The facility is used and hosts tons of different animals for all interests! My favourite part of this trip was the huge shark lagoon!
Finally now that the weather has warmed up, I decided to take a stroll up to Yorkville. Yorkville boasts some of the city’s cutest and most exclusive boutiques. It is a gorgeous area to walk around for an afternoon, as they have many cute side streets and parks to walk in! Also, you can fulfill your shopping bug as they have many designer boutiques.
Overall, summer is off to a great start, and I’m looking forward to sharing all of my summer adventures with you guys!
