Hi. Hello. Namaste.

Hello everyone!

My name is Ankita, better known as Kit here, and I am very soon going to become your favourite international blogger this year!

Some of you may recognize me from last year – I’m back because I love talking to all of you so much! This year is especially important to me because my BABY BROTHER is going to be following all my posts now as well! He has just begun his senior year of high school in Venezuela and is looking through all his post-high school options. They grow up so fast these days.

So, obviously, me being head over heels in love with Ryerson, I am going to see if I can convince him to come join me here next year! 😉

Here are a few things you should know about me before we get started with the year:

  • I’m originally from India, but I’ve grown up all over the world – we’re talking five different continents! So I consider myself to be a little bit from everywhere.
  • I’m a 4th-year Global Management major and Marketing minor at the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM).
  • I love all things business.
  • I’m with CGI, an information technology consulting firm, this fall for my second Co-op term, and was with GWL Realty Advisors over the summer for my first.
  • I’m the Business Management Director on the Board of the Ted Rogers Students’ Society (TRSS – the business faculty’s student society)
  • I’m also on the planning committee for one of the largest student-run undergraduate business conferences in North America this year – the Ted Rogers Management Conference (TRMC)!

This means that you will see a LOT of events, fun behind the scenes, co-op and business content in my blogs. You will also see what it’s like for me to live five minutes from campus with two of my best friends (also on the TRSS board!), you’ll learn that I can’t cook – at all, that I can’t go a day without dropping by TRSM (even though I’m currently on a co-op term and have no school) and everything in between!

Most importantly, you’ll see how all the puzzle pieces fit together for me and how I navigate through my life here as an international student.
