Halloween in Pitman Residence!

Here in Pitman Hall, we take our holidays VERY seriously, and Halloween is no exception. All week, there’s been tons of exciting competitions and activities happening in rez to get everyone in the spirit of spook! Not only does participation in these events result in an exceeding amount of fun, but you and your floor could also win great prizes!

As a floor, we decided to partake in the floor decorating contest in hopes of winning the coveted prize of a pizza party. We each pitched in two dollars for a few students to buy decorations and spook-i-fy our lounge. The results were indeed extremely spooky (which just became my new favourite word).

Another fun competition was the pumpkin carving contest taking place in Pitman and ILLC residences as well as the Hub of the library building. Whether the draw was students’ desire to showcase their artistic abilities or the grand prize of a ten-pound pillowcase full of candy, the contest was a huge hit. And I still can’t get over that prize! What better way to ease the pain of being too old for trick-or-treating, am I right?!

Our floor is also having a special Halloween party with baked goods where we’ll be show off our very best Halloween costumes to end off the festivities. Make sure to check back here for more updates on residence events happening all year long!
