Day in the life of a Journalism student: online edition

Ever wondered what online school looks like? Well, wonder no more as I share a day in my life as a first-year Journalism student. My first year experience has been everything but normal, and I was afraid of what to expect. That being said, being about two months into the Journalism program, I have learned a lot. I’ve made friends and I’m loving every moment I log in to my Zoom classes. Although I’m still figuring out how to be the best online student, I’ve figured out a few things that work for me in order to get through each day, and stay on top of my work. Every day looks different; some days I’m catching up on my readings and other days I’m interviewing people and writing a news story just under seven hours. With all that said, grab some popcorn and enjoy watching what a day in the life of a Journalism student looks like, online.

Hopefully, this vlog gave you a better idea of what online school is like. From an outsider looking in, it can seem intimidating, and I know this for a fact because a few months ago I was in the position of feeling lost and uncertain about what my school year would look like. I take it day by day, and whenever I need help I reach out to my Journalism friends and professors when I need extra support. I hope you all got an insight as to what online school is like – it’s not as scary as some may think.

I’ll see you soon in my next post!
