If you’re reading this you’re probably interested in what the Ryerson student experience is like. I’m excited to report that I will be sharing the final year of my academic journey at Ryerson with YOU! I’ve been sharing my life with you all since the end of my second year, and I’ve had so much fun in the past that I’ve decided to share some more.
My Journey So Far and What’s Next
If you’re new to the blog, my name is Emma, and I’m going into my fifth year in the Marketing Management Co-op program, with minors in Sociology and Professional Communication. My first two co-op terms I worked as a Marketing Assistant at the Ministry of Economic Development, and I just completed a virtual internship as a Customer Experience Consultant with Bell over the summer (more on this soon!). As I have a few co-ops under my belt, I am a Ted Rogers Co-op mentor. I also am staying involved on campus through my jobs as a Peer Academic Coach within the Ted Rogers School of Management and as a Student Learning Centre (SLC) Specialist at the SLC, which happens to be one of the few buildings still open on campus at the moment. I’m still on the hunt for my final co-op placement next semester, but I’m sure it’ll be a semester packed with learnings that I can’t wait to share with you!

Life Outside of School
Aside from school, I’ve been finding new ways to have fun in Toronto during this crazy time! I’ve been utilizing the time to stay active, which has included daily walks along the water and the occasional bike share. The longest walk I undertook this summer would have to be my walk from downtown Toronto to the Scarborough Bluffs! I’ve also had a large number of beach days at Woodbine Beach and Toronto Island. I even kayaked to the island one day!

Kayaking at the Toronto waterfront!
