Leaves are falling and pumpkin spice is everywhere. Fall is officially here! For potential university applicants, it’s time to start thinking about applying to Ryerson. The year goes by quickly (trust me, I was there last year!) and it can be overwhelming at times. Ryerson has great resources to help out with steps in the application process, like information about admission requirements and how to apply. When I made my decision to come to Ryerson, these four points helped me make the decision about choosing Ryerson and my program, Creative Industries.
1. Visit campus
Ryerson’s urban campus is located in the middle of downtown Toronto. Learning about Ryerson’s campus and the different facilities that you have access to as a student helps you get a better feel for the school. If you’d like to take a trip to downtown TO, Ryerson has campus tours twice a day from Monday-Friday. If you’re not able to make it in person, participate in a virtual tour online! Ryerson also makes visits to Canadian and international high schools.
2. Attend an open house
Ryerson has two open houses throughout the school year, one in the fall on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 and another during the spring on Saturday, March 21st, 2020. Open houses are a great opportunity to come visit us on campus, learn more about specific programs, tour residences and attend information sessions about the university. Registration for the fall open house opens soon, so keep an eye out on our website, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat for more information.
3. Research programs
Ryerson has over 60 undergraduate programs in six undergraduate faculties. There’s a variety of programs available at the university from Mechanical Engineering to Interior Design to Journalism. There’s a program for anyone who is interested in attending Ryerson!
4. Watch an RU Live webinar
RU Lives are interactive, live, online webinars that feature Ryerson staff and students that chat about programs and admissions. They’re a great way to learn more about Ryerson and any programs you’re interested in. There’s also a feature to ask questions you have and get answers live. If you’re not able to watch live, sign up anyway! A recorded version will be emailed to you the next day.
Applications will be opening in the next few months! Subscribe to our newsletter to keep updated on important dates, information and student life.
We hope to see you soon!
