Top question ~ What do I need to apply?

What is the top question being asked in Client Services……

Right now the most popular question is what are the minimum admission requirements.   In order to be eligible to apply, from Ontario, you will need to have obtained your Ontario Secondary Diploma (O.S.S.D) with six Grade 12 U/M courses with a minimum average of 70% along with the program specific subject prerequisites (or equivalent depending on where you went to school).  Due to competition you will often have to have marks and averages higher than the minimums in order to receive an offer of admission.  To see the minimum admission averages required for last year you can visit eINFO.  Once on the page you can select “Find A Program” and then click “Browse By University” at the top of the next page.  Just so you know, this site will list all of the programs at all Ontario universities – a great resource!

So, in order to make sure you have the minimum requirements you will need to visit Academic Programs.  Once you have confirmed that you have the minimum requirements you will want to submit your application by the due date (February 1 for any program requiring non-academic requirements and March 1 for a Grades-Only program).  For those currently in high school, your guidance department will assist you with your application.  For all other applicants you can submit your application using the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) – a link to the appropriate application and the required Supplementary Form can be found by going to Applying To Ryerson.

Best of luck with your application!
