Looking for a place to take a study break on campus? Well, look no further! We all know the struggle of getting to campus and trying to figure out where to go to get some work done. So to ease that stress, here’s a compiled list of some of my favourite secret study spots on campus – but don’t tell anyone!

The Snack Stop

Next time you’re at the ServiceHub keep your chin up – literally! Right above you is the Snack Stop, aka a great study spot. Students seem to know about this one but you can still count on the fact that it’ll be less busy than the Student Learning Centre (SLC) on any given day.

Oakham House (upstairs)

Admittedly I haven’t used this study spot much over the years, but I can confirm it is also great for a quick photoshoot! Grab your favourite latte from the cafe downstairs and then head on up for some serious quiet work time!

Kerr Hall Hallways

Yup! These study spots constantly go unused since they’re not on most peoples normal path to class (other than the one connecting Kerr Hall to the Library building). Don’t miss out on having an entire table to yourself and head on up to the Kerr Hall Hallways on the third floor. If you’re lucky you might even catch watching a rain or snowfall through these incredible skylights!

RAC/MAC Gym

Play hard and study harder! Ok, I’ll admit this one is a little out there, but people who work out need to study too. Do your best to multitask in this study spot located at the top of the stairs in the RAC or to the left of the gym at the MAC.

Kerr Hall Stairways

Did anyone else know this existed? I didn’t until a few weeks ago and was honestly shocked. This was the inspiration for this post as this table magically appeared to me in my time of midterm needs. This one is located in Kerr Hall West on the first floor.
