Tessa: Introducing Myself!

Hi everyone! My name is Tessa and I’ll be one of your Why Ryerson bloggers this year, bringing you into my world and sharing my experience of being a Ryerson Student! I’d like to first introduce myself and let you know what type of content you can expect from me this year. As a returning Why Ryerson blogger, I’m beyond excited to be back in action and start connecting with you wonderful future rams!

Some things you should know about me…

I’m in my second year of RTA Media Production and plan to work in the television industry. I love writing, directing, editing, and creating interesting things with good people. My TV watching schedule has also become increasingly demanding this year (comment below if you feel me), but thankfully I’ve developed some pretty essential time management skills over the years that I’ll let you in on! (You’re welcome in advance)

What else? I’m a little bit obsessed with Toronto. Seriously, whenever I see the CN tower I get slightly emotional…It’s just so big!! Anyway, I’ll be taking a special interest in blogging about all the best parts of going to school in a big city. The university experience at Ryerson is unlike any other, and I’m looking forward to making you all obsessed with TO like me!

While I’m in a highly creative and practical program and enjoy taking advantage of the many fun things to do around Toronto, I also really like pretending I’m a #scholar. No really, I love theoretical subjects like English, Philosophy, and Politics. I’ll be discussing my more academic experiences of doing an English minor and why I believe a well-rounded education is important for you guys entering into university.

I hope this gave you an idea of who I am and what I can offer you this year! Remember to check back here for more posts from our whole team. Until next time!
