The Ted Rogers Management Conference, one of the most phenomenal, rewarding weekends of my life! For those of you who don’t know what TRMC is, it is Canada’s largest student run undergraduate conference! It showcases our business faculty through case competitions, networking nights, and tons of amazing socials!
This year, I had the opportunity to work on the TRMC team as a Graphics Associate. This position was a ton of work. It involved many late nights, coffee runs and just a few Red Bulls to get through it. Yet even though the position itself was tough, it was so rewarding! The TRMC team is filled with student leaders from across campus and the conference itself is one of the most incredible events I have ever been to!
TRMC this year focused on innovation and entrepreneurship! We had delegates come all the way from Manitoba to attend this year because not only were there case competition case prizes up for grabs, BUT there was also a coveted spot at one of Ryerson’s zone learning incubators! Talk about opportunity!
The conference was a hit! Some of the highlights were: a surprise fashion show showcasing Ryerson talent, the 28th annual Ryerson Business Forum, and an AMAZING gala at The Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery District here in Toronto (the delegates even got to ride in LIMOS!) And the best part about the whole weekend, was seeing my work that I had designed being showcased to all of these delegates and industry professionals. That is definitely one of the reasons why I LOVE Ryerson and all the opportunities it gives me!
