Summer Updates

Ryerson OneCard

The Ryerson OneCard is one of the most important items you will need while at Ryerson. All new undergraduate program students MUST apply for their OneCard online at by the August 15th deadline. For returning students who currently have a OneCard, you will continue to use it while attending the University. All first year students will be assessed the RSU’s Health and Dental plan fee with Fall 2016 being $314.  If you choose to opt out, the opt out refund will be credited to your student account on RAMSS and applied towards their tuition fees. More information and details at

Once you have successfully opted out of the health and dental plan, your opt-out will be carried forward in subsequent years and you will not be assessed the RSU health and dental plan fee.DashedLine



Athletics & Recreation

Gym membership to both RAC & MAC facilities are included in your tuition for undergraduate & graduate students! Visit in August for Fall 2016 program information.


Are you starting your first year in the Fall? Are you a student living with a disability? Consider participating in our FREE summer transition programs! During SHIFT (Students Heading Into Full Time), August 15th to 17th, 9am – 4pm, students learn about assistive technologies, funding opportunities, and self-advocacy and learning strategy skills. Then on Portage, August 18th and 19th, students experience an overnight urban adventure to the Toronto Island. Students build confidence, as well as a network of friends. Mature Student Programming Event

Are you 21+ and starting your Ryerson journey? Come to the Mature Student Garden Party to hear from professors, staff and other mature students about the myriad ways we add value and create a space for ourselves in the vibrant Ryerson community. We also will be providing two programming options for you to choose from.

Option 1: A Learning Strategist will share promising practices around managing academic responsibilities in addition to your other life priorities.

Option 2: Learn about some of the techniques insiders use to maximize the impact of their LinkedIn profiles and why you should get one in the first place!

Tri-Mentoring Program’s: First Year in 40 Minutes
