Moments that Make Me a Proud Ryerson Student

I’m proud to be a Ryerson student 24/7, but here are the moments that make me MOST proud!

When I meet someone new that has the same ambition (and sense of humor) as me

I love that I'm on the same wavelength as the people I meet at Rye. Gif from here.

I’ve talked about the cool people at Ryerson manyyyy times, but I’ll probably never stop because I continue to meet amazing individuals that are intelligent, hilarious, and even teach me something new.

When I watch a Ryerson sports game

This is me whenever I attend a Ryerson game!!! Gif from here.

I get so into sports games (For example, I was recently in my room watching Ryerson play in the CIS semi-final game on TV and screaming and giving myself a hernia), and when I see a Ryerson team working hard to win a victory, it makes me so proud!

When I see how my courses are connected and how I can transfer my knowledge from one class to another

Those Ryerson courses are so clevs. Gif from here.

Sometimes it is difficult to understand why I’m taking some of the classes I take, and how they fit into my degree and career goals.  But almost every time, I’ll apply a concept that I learned in a business class to something I’m working on in fashion, and it all makes sense.

When I find out that someone successful is an alumni or current student of Ryerson

I can’t help but brag about the fact that Shay Mitchell and Nina Dobrev walked on Gould Street like me!!! Gif from here.

We have famous and successful celebrities, YouTubers, business people and entrepreneurs among our list of alumni and current students.  I guess there’s just something about being a Ram that spells success.

When I go to an event that I know will help me in the future

I have to pat myself on the back whenever I go to career development events. Gif from here.

Most recently, the conference I attended with the Ryerson Communication and Design Society was amazing, taught me so much, and gave me a new wave of Ryerson (and FCAD) pride.

When it’s a perfect sunny day downtown

Who doesn’t love the sun??

I’ve already posted this photo, but campus just looks beautiful! We’re almost back to the time of the year when there’s no chance of snow, and that really excites me.

I love downtown on a nice day!

Toronto is beautiful, especially when the sun is out, there’s not a cloud in the sky, and the temperatures are in the positives.  It always seems like everyone’s happier, everything looks better, and going to school downtown is more fun and has more possibilities.

What do you think you’ll be most proud of as a Ryerson university student?
