Whether you’ve received an Offer of Admission (congrats!) or are waiting to hear, we’ve got lots of updates for you this month! Read on for tips about securing your place, paying your tuition deposit, ways you can check out our campus this summer and learn about a group of Ryerson alumni showcasing their latest film at the Cannes Film Festival.
Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment
We are continually reviewing applications and making decisions, which are posted on your Choose>Ryerson applicant portal. Check your portal regularly for updates.
If you applied on the OUAC 101 form by the deadline, you can expect to receive a decision before the end of May.
Once you receive an admission decision, read the letter posted in your Choose>Ryerson portal outlining the decision carefully, and save a copy for your records.
Essential Steps for Approved Students
If you have received an Offer of Admission there are three important steps you should take now in order to reserve your spot at Ryerson.
1. Confirm your Offer of Admission
Confirm your Offer of Admission by the confirmation deadline date stated on your Offer letter. We recommend verifying your acceptance was successful, by checking that your status on your OUAC and Choose>Ryerson portals are updated within two business days.
2. Pay your Tuition Deposit
Applicants with an Offer of Admission are required to submit a tuition deposit by June 8, 2015, or the date indicated in your Offer, to confirm their spot in the program. Pay online no later than June 1st to ensure Ryerson receives the deposit by the deadline.
If you’re an international student, payment can be made by Western Union Business Solutions in three easy steps:
- Complete the form: Western Union Business Solutions for International Students
- Print the payment confirmation page and take to your local bank
- Bank will transfer funds to Western Union Business Solutions, who will send the funds to Ryerson University
Your bank may charge a fee to use Western Union Business Solutions
You can find more information on our Fee Payment Methods website.
3. Meet Your Conditions
It is your responsibility to meet the academic admission requirements stated on your Offer of Admission.
Contact Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment as soon as you know you do not meet the conditions of your Offer. Depending on your program and circumstances, you may be able to make a Summer School Extension Request.
Preparing for September
Wondering what you should be doing next? Check out our New Students webpage for instructions on how to be prepared for the start of classes. In addition to the Essential Steps for Approved Students, there are several steps you can complete in May and June even if you have a conditional Offer. These include applying for transfer credits (if applicable), residence, scholarships, study permits and financial assistance.
UPDATES FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
International students can apply for a Study Permit if you have received an Offer of Admission. Print the Letter of Acceptance for International Students and the conditional Offer of Admission from your Choose>Ryerson portal. Ryerson’s Designated Institution (DLI) Number is O19395677651.
