To those of you who are new to our mailing list and WhyRyerson, welcome! The holidays are almost here, but this may still be a busy time of year for you. This month we’re sharing how to apply to Ryerson (just 3 easy steps), as well as someĀ important updates to help you stay on top of things.

Before getting started, please note that Ryerson University is CLOSED Thursday, December 24 – Wednesday, January 6.Ā If you have any questions head over to Ask Ryerson for immediate answers 24/7.

Please keep in mind that Grades-Plus programs have Non-Academic Requirements, such as portfolios or auditions. You can learn more about these requirements the program’s page.

Faculty of Arts Update
Exciting news! Three NEW double majors will be offer in the Faculty of Art starting fall 2016:

– English and History
– English and Philosophy
– History and Philosophy

Supplementary Forms:Ā All applicants who areĀ notĀ currently attending an Ontario secondary school in a daytime program of study are requiredĀ to submit a Supplementary Form – visitĀ Application FormsĀ for details. Applications for admission will not be reviewed until the completed Supplementary Form is received byĀ Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment.

Alternate Program Choices: Applicants wishing to be considered for more than one program at Ryerson must include all program choices on the applicableĀ OUAC Application Form.Ā By doing this, students are automatically considered equally for each individual program.

Note:Ā For applicants who have applied to Ryerson in a previous academic year: If the name on the application has changed in any way, proof of this name change (i.e. marriage certificate, notarized statement or other legal document) must be provided.

Once you have received an email acknowledgement of your application from Ryerson, you should begin the process of submitting your transcripts and supporting documents, as applicable.

Please be sure to addĀ choose@ryerson.caĀ andĀ noreply@ryerson.caĀ to your email contact list and check your spam folder to ensure you do not miss critical communications from us.

Login to yourĀ Choose>Ryerson applicant portalĀ to view letters/documents issued to you by Undergraduate Admissions and to track your application.

As an applicant you have access to “My Application Status and Documents” until September 9, 2016, after which time your Choose>Ryerson applicant portal account will be deactivated. You are advised to print and/or save copies of any letters you wish to keep for your own records prior to September 8, 2016.

Transfer Credits
Transfer students are eligible to apply for transfer credits after you receive an Offer of Admission. Preparing ahead of time can helpĀ ensure your application process goes smoothly and that you receive your results earlier. Campus Tours
In addition to our virtual tour, please note that campus tours will resumeĀ Monday, January 11th, and will run through to Friday, April 8th. Tours are offered at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please register online ahead of time!
