AL Event - Skating at Nathan Phillips Square!

One of the nice perks about leaving in residence is having an AL (Academic Link). Your AL is there for you both academically and socially! They promote community within your academic program so you can meet fellow classmates! This past weekend my AL Jessica planned a social event to go skating at Nathan Phillips Square.

If you have never seen Nathan Phillips Square in the winter it is gorgeous! It’s an outdoor skating rink right Downtown Toronto that is open for free public skating! They offer skate rentals and have a yummy snack bar. It’s the perfect place to go day or night, because the skating rink is lit up and decorated at nighttime! Also, sometimes there’s events that happen like live DJ’s at the ice rink, or winter festivals!

Jessica planned a skating event for the GCM (Graphic Communications Management) and Creative Industries students. This event allowed us to socialize and meet new friends in either our program or in Creative Industries! The event was super fun, even though it was cold, but I definitely recommend checking out Nathan Phillips Square if you’re Downtown Toronto this winter!
