About Taylor!

Hey everyone! I’m Taylor, and I’m going to be one of your WhyRyerson bloggers/faces on Snapchat for the year. I’m super excited for this year and having the opportunity to show you all what life is like for me at Ryerson! Seriously, I’m obsessed with the school, and will talk to anyone who will listen to me about it for as long as possible, so get ready for that this year.

I’m going into my third year of the Professional Communication program with minors in Public Relations and Marketing. I love the idea of working in the entertainment industry, but would also love to work in international relations, currently trying to figure out how I can combine the two. My classes are honestly all over the place right now, anywhere from politics to video production to marketing to graphic design. I think university, and Ryerson especially, is an awesome time to try a whole bunch of new things, so that’s what I’m trying to do.

In the meantime, I’m also pretty involved at Ryerson when it comes to student groups and societies. I’m a part of the RCDS Street Team, ASB Ryerson, TEDxRyersonU, REC and the ProCom Course Union. You can find me anywhere from TRSM to the RCC on any given day, and I’m so excited to bring you with me on my sometimes crazy schedule. I think student groups are an amazing opportunity to get to know students from different faculties, and also help to build new skills, so I’ll definitely be highlighting them throughout the year. Here’s a picture of me dancing around because that’s something pretty standard amongst every student group.

I also really love food on campus, as you may have noticed already in mySnapchat takeover, I go to the Hub Cafe on campus, like, everyday, but I also like to see what else Toronto has to offer. I’m a sucker for a cute patio with nice lighting, and am also a really big fan of desserts, so you can bet you’ll be seeing a lot of that from me! I am also super lucky to be able to live downtown. My “commute” is only a 10-15 minute walk to the school, so I’ll also be keeping you updated with fun events happening on and around campus.

I hope that gave ya a better idea about what to expect from me this year! A few things to keep in mind about me is that my favourite food is ketchup, I never sleep and I love dancing cat videos. Have a great year everyone, I’ll see you soon!
